One of the greatest doctrines in the Bible is the Fatherhood of God. In the story of prodigal Son, in Luke’s gospel, the character who reflects God is the passionately forgiving, ridiculously generous father who rejoices over the return of his wayward Son. He lavishes this penitent son with a ring, and a robe and the party of a lifetime. The doctrine of the fatherhood of God, rightly understood, would radically reshape how all of us view each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Come let’s study together, United Under God the Father. Let's Worship Together!

In the Apostle Paul’s call to unity in Ephesians 4, he intends to make something clear to the people of God: Unity is an expression of loyalty to Jesus. Almost everyone knows what it's like to be on a team or to be in an organization that lacks clear leadership. It can be a recipe for chaos and conflict. We all have experienced the rancor and rumblings of an unhappy crowd. There is great encouragement for us as the people of God because God has appointed Jesus as Lord of the Church! Our unity is a glad-hearted bowing of our knees to the only One deemed worthy to rule for eternity. He is Lord! Come and let’s meditate and marvel at the truth that He Alone Is Lord.

There is a famous quote from 1627, written during a terribly bloody time in European history, The Thirty Years War, which reads as follows: “In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, charity.” This statement has shaped the thinking and practice of many Christians down through the centuries and it needs to continue to shape our lives as believers today. We are called to be guardians of the unity of the Spirit. We are to be passionate about preserving the peace that God has created in Christ. Come as we will humbly consider this high calling for each and every Christian. Let's worship together!

No Christian fully comprehends how glorious the church is and will be in the eternal purposes of God. The church is God’s chosen and precious people. It is in her that He dwells and displays His glory. No Christian has a calling apart from God’s purpose in and through His church. None. So, we must learn to live in a way that is consistent with our great dignity! This Sunday we looked at life looks like when God’s people start realizing the glorious purpose of God for the church. Do you live so as to display the incredible worth of the church to Christ? To find out more about our church go to www.wbfellowship.orgHave a blessed day!

This Sunday, we are going to be looking at one of the great prayers of the Bible in Ephesians 3:14-21. The message is entitled: "Learning to Live in the Depths of Christ’s Love". I encourage you to read this passage through several times and pray that God will do a work in your life and in our church family. The Christian life is meant to be a constant advance into the joy of Trinitarian love and community. God has opened up to us the pleasure of knowing what true and everlasting love is like. Let’s seek it together. We apologize as we were having some tech issues right before the recording. The sermon was recorded but missed the first few minutes.

This Sunday, we are going to be looking at Ephesians 3 and the apostle Paul’s pleasure in proclaiming the gospel to the Gentiles. Our sermon is entitled “The Gift of Going: Why Telling Others of the Good News is a Gift to Us!” When we feel like telling the good news to others is a Christian duty alone, a chore, or a hardship, we miss out on the miracle. What empowered the apostle Paul and what ought to excite us is that God gives us the joy of being bearers of great great news! It is God’s gift to us to be ambassadors of hope and salvation! This Sunday, Pastor Andy Keppel will continue in Paul’s letter of encouragement for the Ephesians, we will explore God’s pattern of temple-building and see that God’s final temple, the Church, is as striking a witness to God’s majesty and His grace as was His first temple, built in Jerusalem by King Solomon. In A Tale of Two Temples we’ll explore how God’s glory is revealed through the Church as we bear witness to the assuredness of Christ in a world with crumbling foundations. This Sunday, we are going to explore whether we are Hiding in God or Hidingfrom God? After the "first Adam" disobeyed God, he tried to hide from Him. In many ares of our life, the game goes on - but the Gospel points the way back to God's original design of hiding in Him. Paul's letter to the Ephesians is abundantly seasoned with the phrases "in Christ" and "in Him"...much like repetitive cadence of a drumbeat. As followers of Jesus, being " in Christ" is our identity (see Colossians 3/3). But, what does that look like in our everyday life?Come and join the discussion. To listen to previous Sermons or need prayer - go to www.wbfellowship.org

This Sunday we are looked at the subject of Killing the Hostility: How the Gospel Overcomes Racial and Religious Hostility. We live a time when tensions between racial and religious groups are aflame. In an environment of intensifying fear and alienation, the church is designed to stand out as a stunning display of oneness. Our conviction is that only Jesus Christ can join together as one what generations of hatred have driven apart. Let’s see the church’s role in leading the way on this crucial matter in our day.To find out more about our church go to www.wbfellowship.org

As we enter 2016, it is a critical time for Waterbrooke Church to remember and to reinforce with joyfulness and extreme clarity who we are and why we exist. We live in a day and age where there is enormous pressure to minimize distinctions. Especially when it comes to religion and with fears of radical extremism everywhere, the mantra of the day is that we really are at the core, all the same.Unfortunately, that message is failing precisely because people aren’t blind and ignorant. As Christians, we know that in the Bible there is a claim to the exclusivity of Christ as Lord and Savior of all people. What we must remind ourselves is that this Biblical clarity is God’s divine mechanism for unifying diverse peoples in joyful oneness. The only thing that has the power to reconcile peoples to God and to one another, and to truly celebrate racial and cultural diversity, is the cross of Jesus Christ. Come this Sunday and we won’t just study this glorious truth. We are going to celebrate it!

As we enter the Christmas season, we are going to engage in a two-part sermon series in our ongoing study of the letter to the Ephesians. We are calling it: “The Gift That Keeps on Giving”. In our culture of constant consumption, Christmas can often leave us feeling empty, weary, and even, discouraged. Why do I feel so unsatisfied? Where is the lasting peace and joy? When the hype is bigger than the holiday, it is a good time to ask some deeper questions. That’s what we will do in the next few Sundays. You are invited to come, to worship, and to learn; and we encourage you to share this message with friends and family.Download and listen to other sermons by Waterbrooke Fellowship Christian Church at http://www.wbfellowship.org/waterbrooke-podcast

Too often, we find ourselves losing heart because we don’t think that things are working out the way that they should or the way that we had hoped. Without God pulling back the curtain to show us how He is at work, we easily succumb to discouragement. We grow weary and lose heart. Thankfully, in the Scriptures, God gives us a glimpse of our lives from where He sits, enthroned above the universe. He does so because He loves us and He is determined to remove our doubts and fears and to fuel our passion for this glorious life to which we have been called. This Sunday’s message is called “Defeating Defeatism: How God Has Stacked the Deck Decisively in the Church’s Favor”. Come, let’s be mutually encouraged by the staggering truth of God’s amazing love for His church.Listen to the rest of the series HERE at www.wbfellowship.org

Our sermon this Sunday in Ephesians is entitled “How Great is Our God: The Passion Behind Paul’s Prayer Life”. Most of us would find it hard to imagine spending the hours of our days chained in a Roman prison because of our faith. What may be even more difficult to comprehend is the level of gratitude, praise, and optimism that exudes from the pen of the apostle Paul! This Sunday, we are going to study the passion behind Paul’s prayer life. My prayer is that God might work to intensify this passion within our hearts today!Listen to the rest of the series HEREIf you have been blessed by this sermon and feel led to give to Waterbrooke Fellowship Church - Go to www.wbfellowship.org/donationHave a Blessed day!

Have you ever considered the question: Why does God want to be lifted up and praised by His people? If any other person had this as his goal, it would seem pretty egotistical to us. What makes God different? In a culture obsessed with image and fame, approval and applause, the Bible tells us that it isn’t about us. It is about Him! It might sound strange but this is actually great news. This Sunday’s message is entitled: Destined for Delight: Living To the Praise of God’s Glory. Come let’s study Ephesians 1:11-14 together and see why the apostle Paul celebrates the plan of God to make a people who live for His praise!Listen to the entire series HEREIf you have been blessed by the sermons series and feel led to give to Waterbrooke - Go to www.wbfellowship.org/donations

Have you ever heard someone say these words: “He is so heavenly-minded that he is no earthly good?” Maybe, you have said them yourself. The thought is that some people are so “spiritual”, so “religious”, that they are practically useless. They can talk “Christianese” but they don’t know how to live in the here and now. They can’t seem to get their heads out of the clouds. This Sunday, in our study of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, we are going to see that the opposite ought to be the case. I have entitled the message: “Gospel Wisdom: How Clarity about Eternity Changes Life Now.” In the gospel, God has given us an unshakeable hope for the future. This knowledge is meant to make us wise. Come let’s consider how the Bible teaches us how to be so heavenly-minded that we might actually do some earthly good.Listen to the entire series HERE
