January 26, 2020 “Legalism, Lies, and Love” By Pastor Kevin Dibbley

This Sunday, our message was called “Legalism, Lies, and Love.” In our study of Genesis 3, we will see the catastrophe of Adam and Eve’s plunge into sin. Underneath their fall that has wreaked havoc upon all of our lives is a simple and crucial principle: Life is designed for dependence.

Our existence, meaning, joy, and life are inextricably tied to God Himself. The lie of religion and the lie of rebellion both tempt us to think that we determine our own destiny. Our destiny is simple: Trust God and live. Trust self and die.

Come as we see not just the tragedy but the incredible hope and mercy of God in one of the most important chapters in the Bible – Genesis 3.
