In the Apostle Paul’s call to unity in Ephesians 4, he intends to make something clear to the people of God: Unity is an expression of loyalty to Jesus. Almost everyone knows what it's like to be on a team or to be in an organization that lacks clear leadership. It can be a recipe for chaos and conflict. We all have experienced the rancor and rumblings of an unhappy crowd. There is great encouragement for us as the people of God because God has appointed Jesus as Lord of the Church! Our unity is a glad-hearted bowing of our knees to the only One deemed worthy to rule for eternity. He is Lord! Come and let’s meditate and marvel at the truth that He Alone Is Lord.
